The PADI Rescue Diver Certification is a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster rating, and the distinguished PADI Master Scuba Diver Certification. Most importantly, rescue diver training can help you save lives and increase scuba diving safety by preparing you to respond properly to scuba diving emergencies and near-emergencies.
To complete the PADI Rescue course there are 12 basic scenarios to be practiced in order to assist other scuba divers, training in self-rescue skills, and a class room portion which includes self study, lectures, and a final exam. Topic areas include: First aid for Scuba Diving Maladies, First Aid for Marine injuries, Emergency procedures, Rescue equipment, Panic Syndrome, Distress Recognition, Self- Rescue, Rescue Entries and approaches, Transporting, Submerged Diver rescue, Missing Scuba Diver Procedures, In-water Artificial Respiration, Equipment considerations, Rescue exits etc. Now you no longer have to sit in a classroom. You can study online in the comfort of your home and at your own pace and time with the PADI Rescue Diver eLearning program.
Course Duration
The PADI Rescue course takes a minimum of 3 days but generally we ask that you set aside at least 5-7 days for weather and other circumstances.
